What is the worth of a tree? A 50 year old Sierra Redwood (Sequoia)? Twenty or so native oak trees?
At the moment, the Californa Department of General Services plan to replace the old Altaville Fire Station, replacing a park-like setting behind the Altaville Schoolhouse with an asphalt driveway and parking lot. They say that to change the plans now would cost an additional half-million dollars and delay the fire station for one year. What do you think?

Trip to Sacramento
A group of us traveled to Sacramento to present the petitions, and letters to the Governors Office. Channel 3 was there to record the event. See you tomorrow at the rally!
We are a small group of area citizens who want the park-like setting at the Altaville CDF/Cal Fire Station to remain the way it is, with all of the trees left to beautify the station, the schoolhouse, the neighborhood, and the City of Angels Camp.
